Key Frames Unsynced

So I'm encountering a very annoying bug.

I have a text+ added to my Davinci Resolve, and I'm trying to key in the letters by using 'write on'.

However, When I place a keyframe, say.. 1 second into the clip, the keyframe ACTUALLY gets placed about 3 seconds into the clip. This makes it impossible to line up words with what's being said.

If I try to click the diamond icon to show the keyframes and just move the oddly placed keyframe manually, nothing happens - it doesn't show the keyframes area so I can move them.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, restarting the computer etc. Using the latest 17.1 version downloaded just now from the website.

Sometimes when I start up Resolve, the keyframes can get placed accurately for 5 mins or so, then it goes back to placing them far ahead of when I'm trying to place them.

I've also tired resetting my workspace and installing the previous 16.2 of resolve as well, but this problem is persisting.
