Technique name for many miniframes of same clip

PostMon May 03, 2021 1:11 am

I was watching a couple of the Goat View videos including one named Timelines. I didn't see where this technique is referred to or if it's a different "view" in the Media Viewer? I saw on a screen one time in DR what resembled many "photo" clips (but were vdieo "clips" under the Media Viewer and above the Timeline what seemed like the same clip all across the screen. It's as if the one video clip had been cut into many "segments." I'm trying to research what that technique is called and what its benefits are? Thank you.

Have you done any training for Resolve yet? I recommend the Beginner's Guide at a minimum before you start working on real projects. It's incredibly helpful with the basics.

I have watched DR training videos (including the Goat's View and One Minute Video Editing) but none I saw stated what those small "clips" are called nor how they're created. If you would please share which specific video covers that I'd appreciate that help. Thank you.

The problem is I don't understand what you're talking about, and I suspect that's because you yourself don't really understand exactly what you're trying to ask for.

That's where the Beginner's Guide comes in. It goes over a lot of the basics for Resolve - terminology, techniques, etc.

It's some form of Split Clip. It appears between the Timeline and the Media Viewer. Thanks.
