What is the Fastest Editing Drive Option?

PostWed May 12, 2021 2:45 pm

I want to upgrade my editing drives to the fastest possible option. I know this could mean throttling the drive(S0 but I will be eventually upgrading everything. i currently use 2X4 Gig 7200 rpm drives in raid 0 (yes I know I know) and have had no problems for 3 years for light editing

I have no problems editing 4K BRaw in Resolve but I recently got a P6K and I want to make the best upgrade possible for around $500. I use a gigabyte 450 series motherboard, a gtx 1070 gpu, and Ryzen 7 1700x with 32 gigs ram.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

1. NVMe
2. SSD
3. HDD

That said, capacity and price might make 2 or 3 the better options.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
