Media Offline Error / Audio plays correctly

Been searching on this topic, but haven't found the the silver bullet yet (drinking Coors Light also didn't help). Thank you to anyone who can offer assistance!

• Working in Davinci Resolve 17 (free version)
• Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7 (MBP)
• Intel Core i7 / AMD Radeon Pro 5300M
• I am inheriting database from a DR17 Studio User
• Imported the db, relinked all media.
• Everything in the timeline plays back properly, except MXF files (Canon C300 Mk3) and MP4 (Canon R5)
• These files appear as "Media Offline" clips. I have relinked and checked by hand. The media is not missing.
• The audio for these clips plays back perfectly.

Some other settings:

• GPU processing mode: AUTO
• GPU selection: AUTO
• Proxy media resolution: One-Sixteenth
• Proxy media format: DNxHR HQX
• Optimized media format: One-Eigth
• Render cache format: DNxHR HQX

• Use Optimized Media if available: YES
• Use Proxy Media if available: YES
• Timeline Proxy Mode: Quarter Resolution
• Render Cache: Smart

Most likely explanation is that you need the Studio version for those clips.
