I just updated to 17.2 so this was the first time editing the MKV files direct. It'll work fine for a while then crash after crash after crash. Reboot the PC same thing. Sometimes not even doing anything - open the project with the MKV files and instantly crash. MP4 files for editing still no problem
Ill just continue the old workflow of remux the MKV to MP4 files to edit until the kinks are worked out, just thought I'd report my experience

Linux has Handbrake, a utility for changing media containers/formats. Not sure if it's available in other platforms but it's very good.

This is OBS recording, in MKV. - h.265 Normally I remux to MP4 within OBS (i'll include a screen showing my record settings for OBS)
As far as crash logs, well for Resolve specially I wouldn't know where those are or how to get them
Sorry missed the post above on how to get the crash logs. Ill attach the zip file. It crashed within a minute of opening the project with the MKV files in it (ill have to link to a google drive as the crash logs are to big to attach here)
I do use the latest version of StreamFX. I should note I been using this setup for a couple years now, just remux the MKV to MP4 files and everthing works perfect. This is the first time I tried editing the MKV file as 17.2 just added support for it. So maybe the way i record or something, I dunno. But it isn't that big of a step anyways creating the MP4s so Ill just continue that workflow for now

I'm really thankful for MKV support. Now it's just a question of fixing the obvious quirks.
Would it be possible for you to send us a project archive (.dra) which includes a small sample media which can show the crash? You can pm me if you like.
