I am a casual user of DR and have been since V15. Whenever I have an issue I can usually figure out how to get it resolved by searching this forum. However today I can not find a solution to this problem.
First of all I am using DR 17.2 on a AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor, with 48 GB of ram and a NVIDIA RTX 2070.
When ever I try and render my timeline the render stops before it begins most times - the few times that it does start it gets to about 15 or 16% and then just stops. The UI is not froze because I can move around it and it is reacting to the mouse hover but I am not able to do anything because it is acting like the render is still going (menu sub windows don't open). And when I click the X to close I am prompted to cancel the render and quit.
So far I have
- Left it run for an hour just to see if it would finish. It did not.
- Exported the project and imported it to another computer and I have gotten the exact same behavior
- Unchecked the stop render when frame or clip cannot be processed.
- Removed cross fades (based on another post with a similar issue.)
The entire clip is less then two minutes and it was originally created on an earlier version of Resolve, which I wouldn't think would matter but I started a new project, imported a a couple of short videos and I was able to render those. Any ideas?
