Timeline track height/orientation never seems to stick...

PostSat May 22, 2021 9:25 pm

Hey all,

Currently running the latest version of Studio. Every time I fire up a project, the audio track workspace takes up the lower half of the timeline, regardless of where I had it set when I saved & exited the last time, and also regardless of how many audio tracks are even present.

Has anyone ever successfully gotten the track layout to 'stick' (for lack of) from one day to the next? It's been like this, more or less, since I started using Resolve back in the early days of v15, and I'd love for it to be simple operator error.

I'm currently doing VFX compositing on a music video - which has one whole audio track that I don't really even need to see at all - and it's super annoying to have to readjust the audio portion of the timeline as 'out of the way' as I can make it, every time I fire up the project.

cheers :)

It should. Set the track height where you like it, then go under Workspace -> Layout Presets -> Save Layout as Preset, and you should be able to recall that setup every time.
