Updated Timecode from Audio Track

PostTue May 25, 2021 6:26 pm

I have a question concerning this. I have imported a Sony FX3 clip that has a Tentacle Sync timecode audio tracked embedded on the left channel. The right channel has the camera sound on it. I can select the clip and use the "Update Timecode from Audio Track" option and it updates the timecode with no issues. From there I can change the clip attributes and make the right channel also play on the left channel, removing the timecode sound.

The question I have concerns the source clip. When I double click the track and it plays in the left hand source window I get the timecode audio playing in it, and not the changes I made to it in the timeline. I understand that however I cannot find any way to make these changes permanent to the source clip. Which is what I am after.

Anyone have any guidance about this?
