Ever since upgrading to Resolve 17 all my footage plays back choppy. I'm playing ProRes 422 clips straight out of camera on a Samsung T5 SSD with no color correction and no transitions. Yet the playback is stuttering. Seems to be happening on all my footage now. I tried some ProRes footage from a western digital older external hard drive, same thing. The only place I'm not really having trouble (but sometimes still am) is when footage is stored on my computer. I thought it might be the usb cords. It's not that. I used to play footage off these drives completely fine before. The only thing that's changed is moving to Resolve 17. Any thoughts?
1. Copy the full T5 to a backup location. 2. Copy the full T5 to an internal Media drive. 3. Use the Media page, Media Storage panel for all Import duties.
My Biases:
You NEED training. You NEED a desktop. You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
