Davinci Resolve 17 Question

PostWed May 26, 2021 4:12 pm

I finally decided to update to 17 and I had a small question about using the Edit Module, and i'm going to try my best to explain it!

When I make a selection of a clip in the media pool, and then drag that part of the clip onto my time line, the timeline viewer reverts to where the red play line is in the timeline.

In Version 16 and before, after I put a clip selection in the timeline, the timeline viewer would still stay on the selected clip in the media pool. (which is good if I'm extracting a few selections out of one clip)

Is there a way to stop that from happening. It is a small change when looking at first, but having to reselect clips a few hundred times does add unneeded time to a project.

If you have the Inspector enabled, I would suggest disabling it and see if that fixes the issue.

Turn off Edit>Switch to Timeline After Edit.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
