MBP 16 late 2019 with laptop trackpad or magic trackpad. Also happened on my previous Macs. Not a new issue--just tired of it.
Trackpad controlled cursor -- above 60% of the time:
1) Trackpad can't catch Resolve's attention to drag vertically up/down any of RGB bars. I can put cursor on a bar and drag the full width or height of the screen and top/bottom of bar does not move. Cursor does go away.
2) Trackpad can't catch Resolve's attention to drag horizontally on any of the RGB dials below the RGB bars. I can put cursor on a dial and drag the full width of the screen and dial does not move.
But, the sat and hue dials always work perfectly. So sensitive I can make minor values changes by simply rolling my finger! (Seems like Resolve has two different routines for dealing with a trackpad. The sat and hue plus all the other drags on all the other pages and menus work perfectly! Just the RGB controls fail so many times--and then will work. And then will fail.)
3) Way too often when I do get a bar to follow the cursor, when I lift my finger the action continues. For example, let's say I'm dragging blue lift down and I move it down a few points. Now I take my finger off. Blue lift -- on its own -- will continue going down for a few seconds. (Feels like tracking movements go into a buffer and when one lifts one's finger the buffer continues to drive Resolve.)
