MOV Files do not work with Studio version (Lumix S5)

I recently got the Lumix S5 and discover then that with the Free version of Davinci you can't use 10bits files and because i love this software i finally decided to upgraded to the Studio version.

I would be happy now...however the battle is not finish aparantly...

I just got the Studio version installed and i can work with this 10bit files...but only if i have the camera set in MP4.

With a MOV it only let me to drag the audio file.

This kind of suck because this camera gives you a lot of nicer recording settings with this container (like 10bit 60fps in FHD, which is only 8bit in mp4) and limits the projects i can do.

I understand that mov is only a container and maybe is because of the codec that the camera use but still i didn't figure it out which codec the camera records, it says Long GOP, but that is also with the mp4 and this one can read it). With Premiere i can watch the video clip.

I wonder if there is some way to fix this without losing time in transforming the codec or something like that (gotta be with the Studio version right?)

A way to install some codec? some configuration,...any solution would be appreciated..

Given how dependent decode support is on OS, hardware and driver, can you take a look at the FAQs and add detail about your DaVinci Resolve version and hardware setup? Please include OS version, GPU type, driver version (including game-ready / studio) and info on peripherals.

On the S5 mov clip, is it possible to include a shareable link to a sample clip? This allows other Studio users to try it out and add detail / give feedback. If the forum does not allow you to post URLs, please add one with spaces so it is not flagged as one.

Footage from my Panasonic S1 edits fine in Resolve for me, it should be the exact same format as you S5. Like the other poster said above what computer are you trying to edit on?

I shoot 4K 30p 422 10-L MOV on my S5 and it imports fine in Resolve Studio. Your symptoms sound like you installed the free version by mistake. When you launch Resolve make sure the splash screen says Studio 17.
