No audio playback during analog video capture in DR

PostMon Jun 07, 2021 6:44 pm

When digitizing analog video in Davinci Resolve with brand new Mac Mini M1 and UltraStudio HD Mini, I have video playback during capture, but no audio playback. DR is capturing the audio-- I hear the audio when I play the finished file after capture in both DR and QuickTime, and I see the audio levels during capture. The video plays back during capture just fine, I just can't hear the audio playback during capture. Not sure if it is an issue with my DR settings (see below), or if I need an audio monitor.

Initially, I had the problem in DR where I couldn't hear audio at all, but I did that thing where you patch the bus output. That solved the issue of not being able to hear any audio in DR, but it didn't fix the issue with audio playback during capture.
