17.2.1 audio slow and now not linking propperly

terrible issue. everything worked normally in prior resolve studio 17. thought i finished a project so updagted software and jumping back in to make a new requested edit all audio through the 34episodes are playing back at slow mo and super deep voices. the wave forms visually match up but the audio does not. after replacing the clip i was able to get that clip to playback at proper speed (audio wise, visually there is no issue) but now its horribly out of sync and even when i get it in sync (very difficult the audio waveforms dont match whats being heard) the clip ends about 10minutes earlier.

-ive tried exporting project and reimporting
-replacing footage added new issue
-cleared cache
-changed cache location just in case
-tried different framerates in sequences (though that should not be the case it worked fine in prior 17 version)
-tried export to see if it would carry through. it does.

other thoughts....

mac pro on mojave 10.14.6

new projects i create have no issues.

testing out other older projects they seem to work fine. harddrive was replaced with larger faster drive in same spot? im wondering if resolve is getting confused in someway? is there anyway to purge resolves 'memory for instance' i could try moving file to another drive and deleting the file on cuurent drive and then relink, that might fix this sort of feedback memory loop. idont know.

I updated from 17.1 to 17.2.1 and everything seemed to be fine then today I have similar issues and the program in general is just responding poorly....not to mention that the speed editor almost never gets recognized by the software....I've been an Edius user for 20 years and never had so many issues... i need to be editing when I get in front of my machine....not patting my head and rubbing my belly hoping the software will work today...


Note ALL of my other editing/imaging software is running perfectly, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and get the same result....it's like there are Black Magic Gremlins today....


Sorry for the unrelated issues.... but there always are issues with Resolve and no one seems to know where or who to actually talk to about them...

The only reason I am even bothering with Resolve is because of the project file created with the Atem Mini Pro ISO.... IF this software was reliable (and they added a few pro features) they could steal the editing software market....If, If the queen had balls she'd be king....
