Horizontal flip

PostSat Jun 05, 2021 4:30 pm

I plan to use the Micro 4K in a Lightboard Studio. Can the image from the camera be flipped horizontally like in a mirror?

I'm actually talking about the image as it comes from the camera. I want to use the camera in a Lightboard studio (www dot lightboard dot info). I need to be able to mirror or flip the image so that the text written on the board is shown correctly. Some video cameras have this capability.

I've never used a camera that could Flip internally. This is normally achieved in post.

You might try asking owners of the Studio camera in the Cinematography forum for confirmation.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

The website you linked to has all the known solutions available. I would suggest using one of the solutions described by the inventor. You could also look at the user manual for the camera to see if it has scan reversal.
Resolve 20.0 Mac OSX 15.5 Sequoia, Monitor 3G, FSI SDI grading monitor.
Mac M1 Studio Max 32GB
