Docking waveform monitor?

PostThu Aug 17, 2017 7:32 pm

I'm new to Resolve, so my apologies if this question has been asked before; I searched the forum with no luck.

Is there a way to dock the waveform monitor window so that it is not a floating window? It's not a big deal but I'm taking a lot of screen shots of my work and it's easier to do this neatly if everything in the UI is in one window.

Thanks.

Close the floating window. And then press on the Scopes button (looks like a jagged line chart) just to the left of the Info button ("i" surrounded by a circle). That should reopen the scopes as a docked window.

can you share the reverse process of it? I closed the floating window with the scopes and now i cant bring it back to floating, when docked the scopes are too small.

thanks.

Just go to "Workspace" -> "Video Scopes" and switch them on.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

Thanks Charles, it didn't help yesterday because I'm using two monitors and when I collapsed the scopes on the 2nd one that expand option is unavailable.

Resolve does not have the friendliest UI in terms of flexibility, rather limited in my opinion. But it is what it is.

Thanks for taking the time to look into it anyway.
