Can't change image duration correctly, bug ?

PostTue Jun 15, 2021 7:29 pm

Hello,

I'm trying to change the image duration of a clip to 0.12 second but when I write 00:00:00:12 , Davinci changes automatically to frame rate = 12. But if my timeline is 25 frames per second, 0.12 sec is 3 frames and not 12 ...

Is it a bug or am I completly lost ?

Thanks :)

You've already done the math. Just enter 03.

You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

When you enter times in Resolve the format is: hours : minutes : seconds : frames

So when you enter "00:00:00:12" you're telling Resolve that you want the clip to be 12 frames long. It'll be 12 frames long no matter what fps is being used.

If you want the clip to be 0.12 seconds, you need to calculate the number of frames: 25 fps X 0.12 sec = 3 frames. Then, to set the duration to three frames, enter "00:00:00:03".
