Hi all,

I am here to see if there are others that have experienced this issue and found a solution.

I have shot multiple clips with my Sony a7C using the recommended settings HLG3 BT.2020 and detail -7. Then I have followed the guidance from well known Youtubers to use the benefits of the HLG3 picture profile to get maximum dynamic range by changing the input and output color spaces.

This all seems to be working well, as I can see the color changes in the viewer and it looks a whole lot better. However, the issue starts to arise in the Delivery screen when rendering the video out, where it seems to be hanging in "Rendering in progress". Where in my other projects it shows a percentage of completion, here it does not. As indicated by my computer fans the machine seems to be working hard, but nothing ever changes and no output file seems to be generated. I have left it on for 8 hours, but to no avail.

This is just a test clip of 5 minutes of 4K footage, with no grading or effects performed. Also when not touching color management, it also doesn't seem to render. I have no issue with my other videos (Cine 2 709) which work perfectly fine, albeit a bit slow as it isn't the very newest hardware. I would have expected it to be able to process the HLG files with the same speed as well.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

I think this is the section in the log where details may be visible about the issue. I started a render at 20:49 and killed it manually by hitting the X in the top right of the screen as stopping the render otherwise wouldn't work.

Nothing stands out with the info provided.

What codec are you rendering out to? What are the timeline and delivery resolutions?

I am rendering it out to mp4 h264 using the same resolution as the timeline. No specific changes to default rendering settings. Just forcing debayer and sizing to highest quality.

I have found a temporary solution, which is rolling back to V16 which worked well.

Looking other recent forum posts from today I seem yo be not unique with this issue. I hope to be able to try v17 again some time soon as I do like the improvements made.
