Exporting timeline issues

PostWed Jun 23, 2021 11:07 pm

Hello,

Im working on project that was sent to me. I would like to retain a certain work flow, where I keep the edit intact. And send back what I received except graded.

The issue is that the person who sent me the files does not understand this workflow. So I received 2 video files, and a drp. I was able to confirm this on my PC no issues. So the 2 files made 77 cuts. Now when I want to export single files. It only exports 2 files, and this is an error. The videos don't play. if I export as single files with unique name (prefix) It solves the issue.

But how can I export an aaf or XML or edl which will then allow the other person to conform on their PC. Currently none are working because the files names are now different and number of files was 2 now 77.

I don't want to send a drp because that contains my grading which I don't want to share.

Sincerely,

Elias Nemer

I can't think of any way.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Yeah makes sense. Thanks for the reply. I just ended up sending a full clip. No other way around it.
