Audio meter and save dialogue issues

PostFri Jun 25, 2021 7:55 am

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum but couldn't find an answer to my questions anywhere so here it is:
I recently updated to Davinci Resolve 17.2.1. build 12 and I encountered two issues that I just can't find a solution to or any settings that might help.

1. When working on a project suddenly the audio level bars in the mixer panel turned red (instead of green, yellow, red) and they stayed like that ever since - no matter which project I'm in. I remember typing in subtitles and realizing my cursor was not in the right window when it first happened, so I guess I must have used some kind of short key. However, I couldn't figue out what kind of setting this might be and I couln't find a shortcut via the search function.

2. Since upgrading DR stopped asking me weather I want to save a project or not whenever I close it. This has already caused me some pain because I messed around in a project and wanted to close it without saving but DR just saved it anyways without asking :D Again I was unable to find an appropriate setting for this.

Thank you all in advance for your help!

As far as number 2 is concerned, Resolve now has Live Save on by default. hence not getting asked to save when closing. You can turn it off in Preferences/User/Project Save and Load. Once done it sticks across projects. Just remember to frequently manually save.
As to the first one, I've found this that may be the answer.
Resolve Studio 20.0 build 49
Dell XPS 8700 i7-4790, 24GB RAM, 2 x Evo SSDs, GTX1060/6GB (572.16 Studio Driver), Win10 Home, Speed Editor, Faderport 1, Calibrated Eizo ColorEdge CS230 + BenQ & Samsung monitors for UI, Canon C100mk2, Zoom H2n.

Thank you so much! The first thing actually helped. I didn't consider switching to the "user" tab and even when you wrote it, it took me a second to find it.

As for the meter, it went back to normal just after I posted this  I still can't figure out what caused it, though :D
