Lots of display issues on an AMD machine

I've been trying to use Davinci Resolve on and off for the past half year, throughout different versions. Right now I'm on 17.2.1 Build 12, on a machine with: AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U with Radeon Graphics 1.70 GHz, and 16gb ram, Windows 10 64 bit. My AMD driver version is 21.6.1, the latest available for this chipset.

My issues seem to resolve entirely around any video output GUI element. Any kind of monitoring, thumbnail preview, etc, will eventually fail during a working session, if not outright from launch. Usually I have to launch and close Resolve 3-4 times after turning my computer on before anything other than a black screen or a purplish liney screen will display. Then, I can get some work done for an hour or so, before I can only get a few actions done before every preview screen will "loop" between about 500-1000 ms of whatever footage was last on a preview pane. Audio outputs fine, other UI elements continue to work fine, it's just video output that totally fails.

Yes, my monitor is plugged into my GPU. This is a laptop with a single HDMI port.

I poked through the logs and didn't see anything standing out, but I'm not too familiar with OpenCL.

This is also affecting rendering. Can sometimes get a few minutes of perfectly rendered video, before it fails into a video loop of 2-3 frames. Audio continues fine.

I experimented by trying editing and rendering without a monitor plugged in through HDMI, and while bugginess was less, I still am unable to render out a video without it eventually bugging between a couple frames, getting stuck that way throughout the rest of the render while the audio continues without issue.

I've managed to render a video after setting my driver version to Adrenalin 21.5.2.
