Unable to use GPU after installing Studio

PostMon Jun 28, 2021 6:22 am

Hi

I was using free version and now I have Studio. I tried to use GPU without luck.
I see in configuration that there is my Video Card RTX2070 Super recognized.
Even I set to render via NVIDIA, "cuda" GPU performance stays 0%.
I tried PugetBench for DaVinci Resolve 0.92.2 and it gives a overall score like 807, which is very slow compared to the test shown here: www dot pugetsystems dot com/labs/articles/DaVinci-Resolve-Studio---NVIDIA-GeForce-RTX-3070-3080-3090-Performance-1950/

So I think there is some bug or misconfiguration in my system that cause Resolve not to use graphic card like the free version.
Any guess? I am thinking to create another user or reinstall windows10 from scratch
and see what will happen.

I tried with different user on same computer and it was using GPU.
So I removed the %APPDATA%\Blackmagic Design\ directory from the faulty user and started
setup from scratch and now GPU encoding works fine.

I did a quick Winmerge diff and see some difference...
Red.GPU.Enable = 2 is on the config.dat which GPU are not getting used.

Anyone know what this means?

I have another question, Renderer3D is very slow...I will open a new post for that I think after some more research.
