Davinci Resolve on iPad Pro

PostTue Jun 29, 2021 9:00 am

Now that the iPad Pro is equipped with an M1 chip, how long until we are likely to see Davinci Resolve running on the platform?

This is the final piece of the puzzle for me moving entirely over to tablet and would love to not have to lug my laptop around everywhere.

Thanks!

Get the MB Air M1 and enjoy it now.
I doubt it makes any sense on an iPad Pro. The external USB-C/Thunderbolt connection is much slower and you can't choose an appropriate resolution for an external screen (only mirroring).

they are not there yet. But a small player app to view and delete BRAW files on the iPad would be good.

Note that Microsoft Word, Adobe Premiere, Apple FCPX, Avid, Pro Tools, and many other programs also don't work on an iPad. I think you have to get the right platform (and OS) for the right software. As it is, it's challenging just to run Resolve on a powerful laptop.
