Davinci Resolve 17.2.1 Build 12 Crashing frequently

Ever since updating to the current version of Resolve the number of crashes have increased significantly and with not specific action to associate the crashes with. Puzzling and a bit frustrating since I never had this frequency of crashing n any of the other builds throughout the beta development of 17.

I'm editing 3 projects on 1080/30P timelines from 4K 30p footage shot with mostly a Sony A7R II, and an Osmo Pocket2, with a few 4K scenes from an IPhone 8 and IPhone 12. The longest program at the moment is 63 minutes, with the other two having around 30 minutes with each of them crashing frequently while I'm working.

I was just able to cause a crash twice with the same action. I have a cutaway on video 2 and the transition didn't match up with the transition on the clip below so I dragged it 15 frames to the left to get it to match the transition on the clip below and the system crashed. When I restarted the program, it opened DR in the program manager and I selected the project and it opened but everything was frozen after my desktop screens appeared. I've included a photo of how they normally open, then I must resize the timeline screen to fit.. anyway I had to do a hard reboot and I opened the project, tried the same move again,, and again it crashed. So a specific action is at least causing these crashes.

I was able to get it to crash again with another cutaway clip on V2 simply by dragging the clip forward and it would crash with or without the dissolve applied.
