The handful of nodes I created for each clip are still there but have none of the adjustments, LUTs, or anything in place. I made the nodes shared since the project is a series of videos all shot in the same setup and making adjustments to each clip individually is incredibly time consuming and (frankly) a waste of time.
Well... that's basically what a colorist does.
If you want to apply the same color to a whole bunch of clips, another philosophy might be to come up with a grade as a series of nodes -- say 4 -- and then apply that correction to all the interviews in that specific area. A 5th node would allow you to trim the shot slightly if it didn't quite flow with the material on either side of the cut. PowerGrades and rippling grades (all covered in the manual) will handle this well.
Shared Nodes should
theoretically work, and they absolutely should not reset on exit, but try my approach and see if that works for you. I've done literally hundreds of interview projects in the past and this has generally worked very well. A key is having a reliable DP who uses the exact same settings throughout the day and doesn't add lights, change the exposure, change lenses, or anything to radically alter the picture over the entire length of the interview period (assuming it's in one place).
