Resolve Crashes When I Add to Queue

PostSun Jul 04, 2021 12:53 am

When I attempt to add a video to the queue, DaVinci Resolve crashes. I have an AMD Radeon RTX 5700 XT graphics card, and on the Task Manager performance tab, the GPU graph, specifically 3D, spikes when I click "Add to Render Queue." I don't know if multithreading is disabled or it is something else. Can anyone help? The video is under 7 minutes long.

Update: I copied and pasted everything into a new timeline and it rendered fine. If anyone knows why this may have worked, please let me know.

1/ What version of Resolve are you using?
2/ What are the rest of your computer specs(CPU, RAM, Disk type)?
3/ What OS?
4/ Where are your source video files stored (External drive, internal drive etc.)?
5/ What is the video format of the original files?
6/ Does your timeline include any Fusion comps?
7/ What type of file are you trying to export?

Also, see this troubleshooting FAQ, particularly the part about supplying log files:

That's weird. This reply did not show up until 5 minutes after I posted.

I'm glad you got it sorted. As to why, I have no idea, but there are occasional posts where weird problems have been fixed by copying to a new timeline.
