Hi guys,
Total newbie here on the Free version of Resolve. Last night I imported a video file, 40mins long, and the plan was to mark the file at certain points for later editing purposes (inputting an image overlay etc). As the file was quite long I was in Cut and sped up the playback? I can't recall exactly the tool used but it was like a 2.31x speed up or something, just to help me get through it quicker and mark the spots better.
What I discovered was, after marking 20+ places in the clip (or timeline), once I put the speed back to normal, the markers all moved

So clearly I do not understand the program or markers very well currently
I guess I was naïve and thought putting a marker down at 1:57, 2:34, 15:31 or whatever time you mark your clip at would keep that marker right on that time stamp regardless of whether you speeded things up or down.
In future, how else might you go about this task successfully? A reasonably long clip, sped up to something like x2 or x3 playback, mark the file at certain points for future reference, and then once pulling back to normal speed (or even speeded up further), the markers would stick to those exact initial time markers and shift accordingly?
Cheers,
BB
