DR studio 17.2.2 build 4 keeps switching my audio sample rate to 44.1 and losing sync!
I'm foxed. I'm going through the new learning materials for DR17 on a fresh install of Resolve Studio, just using the Windows default setup for audio, which is set to a default of 48Khz on my old MOTU 828FW. When I start up DR17 I can see the 828 switch to 44.1Khz on the front panel, but all the setting in DR are set to 48Khz.
My DR settings:
Project settings: Fairlight: Audio Sample Rate: 48Khz
All the clips on my timeline also have an audio sample rate of 48Khz.
Preferences: Speaker configuration: Use system setting/ set manually to MOTO 828 main Out 1&2. Makes no difference.
I can boot up my PC, check that Windows audio is set to 48Khz and test it, then start DR, watch the audio device switch to 44.1Khz as DR takes control. return to the audio dialog in Windows, which will still state a sample rate of 48Khz, though the indicator on my MOTU says 44.1. Clicking on the test button confirms that the device is operating at the lower sample rate.
There is no question that DR is taking control of the windiws audio device and changing the sample rate. I can see it happening.
What is more, if I close DR, return to the audio dialog and click the test button again, the device will switch back to 48Khz and execute the Windows playback test normally.
Just for the record, checking the 'allow applications to take exclusive control of this device' box makes no difference.
I can't see what I'm doing wrong.
Any advice?
