+1 for this

not having access to some crucial VST3 plugins is the ONLY reason why i'm still paying for creative cloud.
having RTX Voice available as a VST has been a game changer for noise suppression.

Has anyone had any experience using SoundRadix' Auto-Align Post 2 with latest Resolve 17 Studio (e.g., 17.4.6 build 4). (or Resolve 18 beta 1 or 2)?
SoundRadix specifies that this useful for dialogue editing plug-in requires VST2 AND ARA2 support in whatever DAW one wishes to use it. Moreover, a few months ago, the SoundRadix tech people told me, in reply to an inquiry, that Resolve is not supported ("Feel free to ask BMD to add VST3 and ARA 2 support, we'd be happy to have Auto-Align Post 2 working over there.") but that was six weeks ago. Any insight or, better yet, actual practical experience or test results, will be greaty appreciated. Thank you.

+1 to this. Auto Align Post 2 has become a necessity these days, particularly in TV drama. It's a complete game changer. I too have had a conversation with Sound Radix with them saying they would love to be able to work with BM. So please look at bringing ARA2 soon.

If Resolve is positioning themselves to be the market leader for (audio) post production, ARA2 support would bring it in line with a number of competing DAWs that currently support it (specifically for Auto-Align Post 2 and Melodyne).

Considering the game changing effect A-A Post has had on the industry, this seems like a feature that should be high on the list for a DAW aimed squarely at the post market.

Anyone had any experience using MAutoAlign in Resolve 17 or 18? A more cost effective plug-in than Radix offerings - see https://www.meldaproduction.com/MAutoAlign
Resolve/Fairlight does not appear to be supported, per the list provided by plug-in's builder but I have written to them to inquire.

Melda tech support in the end explained that their MAutoAlign plug-in is unable to make phase correction changes after Resolve already has aligned an external audio track with camera/camera audio track. In my typical use, I do this as soon as I import footage and audio files (using Resolve's 'Auto Sync Audio' 'using timecode and append tracks').

Frustrating problem. I will very much appreciate if BMD will address the practical need to apply phase and comb filter correction within Fairlight. If BMD is serious about Fairlight functioning as a practical post DAW, that is.

Sound Radix has made a sophisticated, albeit costly, plug-in that serves this function and has become sonething of an industry standard. Can BMD work with Sound Radix to make this plug-in work within Resolve/Fairlight? Or can BMD add in this capability with its own audio effect/plug-in?

Thank you.

This situation is changing, with the likes of Cubase (developed by Steinberg) dropping VST2.4 support so hopefully there will be full VST3 compliance in the near future.

Have you looked at the Izotope RX tools? There are some excellent noise reduction plugins available.

I’m curious if support for Auto Align 2 has been added with Resolve. I am assuming not yet, but I wanted to see if anyone has been able to get the plugin to work.

I’m not wanting to use AA2, but I don’t want to have to go back to using Premiere in order to be able to use it. I’d much rather continue to editing in Resolve.

If Resolve still can’t use AA2, it hat kind of workflows are people using in order to utilize AA2 while still editing projects in Resolve? Are you exporting audio tracks from Resolve after the rough cut is complete and then are editing the audio in another DAW such as Pro Tools? I could see this method working, but I don’t have Pro Tools and instead have Audition which apparently cannot use AA2 either.

Is there another option out there similar to AA2 that Resolve can work with? I have iZotope RX 10, but I don’t think they have anything that fixes phase issues. I’d love to be wrong about that though.
