First posting - anticipated delay?

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forums (joined up aprox 36 hours ago) and am wondering when my first post will show up. I have in mind to use THIS post to see if there's an initial 'screening delay' for new users. For those of you have joined and immediately posted, what was your delay in seeing your post appear?

I am having the same issue. Joined about 30 minutes ago. Posted and I see nothing. I thought I had done something incorrectly. But it seems like there is a delay will update once my post goes live for time reference.

There is a delay as new posters go through a moderator. Have a look here. All I can say is be patient.
