The idea is not that bad.
I can totally see a mobile version that could be synced with a desktop install of Resolve, automatically.
BMD said (peter chamberlain in a ressent response) they don't have illimited resources. I imagine they have priorities around Davinci Resolve desktop for now (just a guess).
But I can see one day a mobile version of resolve on which we could do very simple edits on the go (there are many situations where even pro could benefit from it too).
I know people who edited relatively advanced videos with free mobile apps (and some with paid ones).
I think there is a market there especially if the mobile version is very well integrated with a desktop install.
It could even sync with Blackmagic cloud.. you do your edit on the battlefield, and your team on the other side finish the job. - That's an extreme example, you get my point.
Or you can be on location, with an idea for a video, do a quick edit on your phone/tablet, when you come back home, instead of having to remember what you were thinking at the moment, you just have your timeline synced with resolve because you would be connected on the same network, and you could continue from there.
The app could act as a mobile "companion" too. Just throwing ideas out there, like you're on the field, you want others (or yourself) to be able to have your scopes on another screen. It could be a phone or better, a tablette (it could be another resolve panel on it).
Anyway, I can see the potential.
I don't think we should discard this idea completely. - I will no
