At this point I'm not sure what "full screen mode" means.
I now have access to my menu bar because I took the nuclear option: I completely uninstalled Resolve and reinstalled it. So I now have menus again.
However, I'm stuck with another problem, which is that the UI occupies 100% of my screen.
But this probably isn't the same thing as "full screen mode".
With menus restored I can now see a button with the title "Full Screen".
If I hit it, the UI doesn't stop occupying 100% of the screen. Instead, the UI changes state: it now looks like video player which still occupies 100% of the screen.
So the good news is that I now have access to menus.
The bad new is that I don't have easy access to any programs other than Resolve.
