How to embed Timecode in audio exports from Resolve?

When I export audio tracks from our Resolve timeline there is no way we get the timecode embedded in the exported audio clips.

I have selected the 'Embed timecode in audio output' tickbox in project settings.

But when I export WAV files from the audio tracks in our timeline there is no timecode embedded in the exported clips. Tested with the Mediainfo app and in the Switch player, Audiofinder, etc.

It makes no difference if I export the audio using the ProTools preset or do an audio-only export as Quicktime or Wave file. Resolve just does not embed the (timeline) timecode in the audio clips.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

The Fairlight page provides an Export Audio Files function - available from the Clip contextual menu - which includes embedded timecode in deliverables.

Ah, that's probably why it is listed under the Color tab of project settings.

There is no option to select timecode embedding in the exported audio clips, but with Broadcast Wave files you would expect the timecode to be included. Unfortunately that's not what's happening on our Mac with Resolve 18.1.2

Reynaud, when was the last time you succeeded in exporting audio with timecode from Resolve with this option and what version of Resolve were you on at that time?

I'm at a loss why it is so complicated with my beloved Resolve software to export audio clips with embedded timecode...

Thanks for your hint. I tried to find the 'timecode track' in Mediainfo and Audiofinder and players like Switch, so I looked in the wrong place.

Timecode is also embedded in the TimeReference chunk when we do an audio-only export of (parts of) the timeline in the Deliver page in stead of a single (right click) audio clip export.

Yes, the timecode of the first audiosample of the clip is encoded in the metadata of the BWAV file. From there your software can 'reconstruct' the timecode for every frame/sample of the clip.

I was looking for a timecode track, but the data is in the metadata (TimeReference) of the file as Reynaud Venter pointed out.
