Hi,
For those on PCs who cannot export ProRes QuickTimes, I just wanted to flag that there's a compatibility error on 18.5.1 with the third party Vokouder extension that can be used to output ProRes files from Resolve on a PC.
It seems like there's an issue where the Colorspace and Gamma Tags do not appear in the export window. I've attached a screenshot of what I see when the Vokouder ProRes format is selected on my Windows PC. We need these features enabled in order to make sure our colorspace stays consistent in our ProRes exports, otherwise it automatically applies a Gamma 2.2 tag which messes with the video file's colorspace.
We have to export ProRes files at our Post house all the time, so this lack of functionality with the plugin has us frustrated. We will have to downgrade to the older version of Resolve until this situation is amended in a newer version for PC. If anyone operates on PC, I would advise against upgrading until a solution is found to make sure that third party plugins like Voukoder are compatible with the software, otherwise you will need to output large uncompressed files and encode to ProRes elsewhere.
Thanks.
