Hi everybody,
I have a Smart Videohub CleanSwitch 12X12 with software version 9.0.1. All Inputs are set to 1080/60p.
I've noticed that all 12 inputs blank for a short time (about half a second) if the device connected to Port 1 is turned on/off, or if I connect/disconnect a running device to Port 1. This only occurs if a BiDirectional Converter 3G/12G is connected to Port 1. It doesn't matter whether a PC or a HyperDeck 4K (used for testing) is connected to the BiDirectional Converter.
Furthermore, I discovered that only the outputs are blanked if a BiDirectional Converter is also connected.
The other inputs, to which two other HyperDeck 4Ks are connected, remain stable (no blanking). When I try to connect/disconnect the HyperDeck 4K directly to input Port 1, there is no blanking.
This behavior does not occur on the other 11 ports, whether a BiDirectional Converter 3G/12G is enabled, disabled, connected, or disconnected; it only happens if a BiDirectional Converter is connected to Port 1.
I'm wondering if Input 1 is also used as a reference input (Ref In) for syncing all ports, which could be causing the blanking? I haven't found any information on this yet.
Does anyone have an idea? Should I purchase a Mini Converter Sync Generator and connect it to the Ref-In-Port to resolve this issue, even though syncing the BiDirectional Converter is not possible?
Best regards,
Floh
