All demos are made with the Atem Mini line of products.
That seems to work great but we don't like the image quality of what they produce and also do not work in a one man show setup.
So our setup would be
Live edit with a 2ME or 8K Atem
Recording with smb from multiple Hyperdeck to a NAS
Edit replay with Resolve from NAS
One doing the live edit, the other prepairing the replay
Question:
Is it possible to control and send image trough network to a ATEM just like to the mini or does the recorded footage need to come from a mini to work like in the demo?
Or would you use it standalone and output the replay trough a sdi card on the resolve computer to a ATEM input and let the live editor start the reply trough a Streamdeck on the Resolve computer (if that feature exists yet. Did not check yet the Streamdeck comands)
I think in all cases you need to use either HDMI or SDI (*)output from Resolve for your replays - the Resolve Live replay workflow doesn't send video to Atem Minis or other switcher/mixers via the network (*) - only as live-replayed SDI or HDMI video from a suitable output solution. (Anything from a Thunderbolt Ultrastudio / PCI-E Decklink Mini Monitor 3G upwards?). There is no network live video source (like NDI, SRT etc.) functionality on any Atem - Minis or otherwise currently?
Where the Atem Mini Pro ISOs come in to play is that their recordings can be used as replay sources, with Resolve using the Atem Mini Pro ISO's recordings as their file sources over the network, but in your case you are replacing these with Hyperdeck recordings instead.
(*) You could use a Decklink with ST.2110 networked baseband video output instead of HDMI/SDI - and an ST.2110 to HDMI/SDI converter for your Atem switcher - but this isn't going to be received directly via any current Atem.
