Some companies rent UHC 8300 locally for football or others events. Use of ST2082-12 or IP2110. I was wondering if it was possible to connect them to a blackmagic workflow ?
Are you using the UHC-8300 8K camera for cut-out replays in UHD or HD, or for native 8K?
The 8K IP output is Sony's older NMI IP system over 40GbE QSFP+ connectors, or the 8K ST.2110 over 100GbE QSFP28, which BMD stuff isn't compatible with, and the non-IP 8K output is via Quad UHD (i.e. 4x12G-SDI feeds for 7680x4320/50-59.94p or 8x12G-SDI for 100-119.88p for HFR slow mo? The latter would be the route for a Constellation 8K to work 8K native with that camera I guess...
The UHD 2110 cut-out will be >10GbE as it will be uncompressed - so won't be compatible with BMD 2110 stuff which is proprietarily compressed.
https://pro.sony/en_AU/products/4k-and- ... k-uhc-8300I don't have experience of using it - I think it has two distinct markets - 8K native production (mainly in Japan) and 8k-acquisition for punch-in replays in UHD or HD. I don't know how the punch-in replays work in terms of UHD and HD output - but I guess they present as 12G-SDI and 3G/HD-SDI?
Also note it's not a 2/3" camera like other Sony system cameras - it's 1.25" using ARIB TR-B37 lens mount.
However I suspect the key use for this camera is for UHD punch-out replays - I don't know what the ecosystem required for that is.
