Question for Dwaine or another Blackmagic Designer, I had the same problem as those in this string. I've been trying to get the latest version of Resolve to work on my son's older T530 Thinkpad but from what I gathered, only the older version 16.2.8 of Resolve will work with it. I downloaded & installed it (from
https://archive.org/download/da-vinci-r ... .8-windows) and it seems to work, but I wanted to verify that this is the only / best option and that no Resolve upgrades are in the works for these computers with older GPUs.
The Resolve log file is located here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jcuJ0M ... drive_link.
And here are the specs / details on the computer we've installed the older version of Resolve onto (couldn't figure out how to access Windows System Info ap on Win 10):
Intel HD grapics 4000 w/ driver version 10.18.10.4425.
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3230M CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.60 GHz
Installed RAM 12.0 GB (11.7 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Edition Windows 10 Pro, Version 22H2
OS build 19045.5198
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19060.1000.0
Thanks for your feedback as to if if I've done all I can to enable my son to use Resolve on his older computer or if there's more I can do to enable him to use a newer / better version of the free Resolve for video editing & making short films as a talented 8th grader.
