A new set of Resolve logs and NFO could be helpful.

I will assume based on the 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900K in your system, that it's not really the reported MacPro 7,1. But not sure why you can't update a Hackintosh to a newer macOS? Ventura is the oldest Resolve 19 supported macOS version.

All that said, you are using Resolve 19.0. Try the current 19.0.2 version, in case something was fixed that might work better on your system.

I see complaints about the WaveShell VST plugins. To see if those might be causing an issue, in Finder, navigate to /Library/Audio and rename the Plug-Ins folder to Plug-Ins.tmp

That will prevent Resolve from loading 3rd party audio plugins.

All your logs are using the Twisted project. Are you only having issues with that project? Possible there is media in that project causing issues. Does a new project using different media work OK?

Hey, thank you so much for getting back to me. Yes, the Twisted project is the only one I'm having trouble with. I use a lot of audio plugins, like Soothe2, Waves Compressor, and FabFilter EQ, in the project. Could these plugins be causing the issue? Also, it sometimes crashes when I click on the Fairlight tab.

Yes, one of those plugins could be causing an issue.

If you rename the /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins folder as described above, that will stop Resolve from loading 3rd party plugins altogether, and if that stops the Twisted project from crashing, it seems likely one or more of the 3rd party plugins is the issue.

On a more granular level, in Resolve Preferences - System - Audio Plugins, you can disable individual plugins to pin it down to a specific one(s). When you disable a plugin in Preferences, it will require a Resolve restart for that change to be applied.

Python on your system is crashing Resolve. Uninstall or update Python and that should help.

Hello,

The project(GKing) that was working fine with DaVinci Resolve until yesterday is not opening today with an error saying 'DaVinci Resolve quit unexpectedly.'

When I tried to open the GKing project again through the project manager in a newly created project, the project opened but almost immediately crashed again.

After several attempts, I found that there were no problems in other timelines, and it seems that the issue occurs only in the 'ep5' timeline. Is there a way to resolve this?

Looks like it could be something Fairlight related in regards to changing a clip speed.

If you can send a project export .drp of the project, that could be helpful.

Hello, the problem persists and has worsened. As soon as I click on Fairlight, DaVinci crashes. When I reopen it and click Fairlight again, it quits once more. After the third or fourth restart, it works for a while but crashes again upon reopening DaVinci. Ive attached my log files.

You are using Monterey, which is not supported in Resolve 19.

The crashing is happening in the Metal graphics area, so very possible updating to a supported macOS version would help.

You could try selecting OpenCL in the Resolve Preferences - System - Memory and GPU - GPU Configuration - GPU processing mode and see if that helps for now.

Open the Windows "Add or remove programs" Control Panel, select the DaVinci Resolve Control Panels app, the select Uninstall.

That should solve the startup issue.

If that doesn't help, then in a File Explorer window, navigate to this folder:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX

Rename the Plugins folder to Plugins.tmp

This will prevent any other 3rd party video OFX plugins from loading. Maybe that will do something good.

Just want to add, this worked for me. I have been struggling 2 days and worked through these detailed solutions provided and found the resolution almost at the end.

Thank you for keeping this alive..
