Justifying Titles

Hello all,

I would like to justify my credits like this:

I'm having trouble figuring out a way to do this. I'm only able to justify credits like this:

Any idea how I could get it to look like the first attachment? Where there is an empty space between the talent and role?

To the best of my knowledge, you can do most of what you want using the Text+. You dont have full control, for example adjusting any setting, like font size, applies to everything. Also aignments apply to all. Here is an exampe:


Normaly I use CorelDraw to make my scrool credit, export it as PNG and animate it in Resolve.

Even the new MultiText in Resolve 20 is still limited in this regards. Hopefully one day BMD will incorporate a proper scroll titler.

Alignments are tab based and you can get quite creative with those so

tab can be right aligned for the left column
tab tab can be left aligned for the right column
tab tab tab can be centered between the left and the right
(and you can even animate those)
So there's *a lot* you can do this way.

There's also a literal scroll option inside of Text+ (check out the video)

I took the time to learn Cinecred and haven’t looked back. It’s amazing.

Yah but it is still limited especially when it comes to formating a credit roll! In example font type and size still applies to everything, unless I am mistaken!

An easy option for creating professional credit roll is to use a plug-in called Titler Pro 7 from NewBlueFX. Watch this video on how to use it:

But if you are a big production company, you may want to consider Endcrawl. It provides top quality and it is used by top Hollywood movies. However it is very expensive, but you can try a demo.

It's slightly more cumbersome because you need to use CLS on your text to change font/size/style etc, but apart from that it works the same: select text, change style etc.

And since Titler Pro costs more in its basic version then Resolve for the whole software, I don't find it unreasonable that Resolve doesn't do it exactly the same. But you can get a very similar workflow without too much extra work. Especially the left and right columns are almost always the same font wise in the projects I've worked on. But that doesn't mean it applies to everyone, I realize that.
