The issue is that with everything integrated into a single program, there's no justification for maintaining so many different approaches to the same tasks. They should aim to standardize most functionality, like the zoom feature, for example.
I don't care which one is chosen, I just want to use the same way on both page.
Ultimately, what's better? Having countless different ways to perform identical tasks? Or making a clean break from the past once and for all? If someone prefers the "legacy" method for certain functions, such as zoom or undo (which operates differently depending on where you are in Resolve), they can adjust accordingly (like Blender does I believe, they broke from their old weird keyboard shortcut at one point, but you could/can have them back, but it's not the default anymore).
This is how a program becomes chaotic - when developers try to preserve all legacy functionality while simultaneously adding new features and attempting to appeal to a broader user base.
