This happens a lot in the movie trailer business, where a final trailer may be composed of color-corrected shots, raw shots, temp dailies shots, and even shots that are not in the final film. I don't know of another way except to turn the knobs until the two shots match.
Any kind of "Auto Match" is not going to work if there's keys, windows, defocus, or any kind of plug-ins used. Even with a straight correction, it may not work if the exposure is radically different. Basically, the job of the colorist is to get a good look from the material and to match shots (along with making the clients happy), so this is something you just have to dig down and learn how to do.
