utsabnov, I don't think anybody doesn't agree with the assumption of sharing and discussing features are cool... You're welcome.
But you know, imho if you really want to help improving the dvpt of Resolve, you should better try something you computer is able to deal with. Specifically because here, regardless to other elements (see below), the first thing which pops up in any reader's mind is "his hardware is too weak", faaaar before any considerations of Resolve's potential fault. That is the problem.
Now, 2 suggestions : first, upgrade your signature info, because you know that a MBP is not ready to handle UHD, especially because the GPU is not beefy (like amost 80% of Apple's default GPUs computers anyway).
Second, 2 problems here :
I got 16gb ram but the upscale won't work since it's hanging the system due to algorithm calculations. The upscale feature is used for making HD to 2k/3k/4k up-scaling.
As written above, you talk CPU RAM while others talk VRAM (video ram, therefore GPU memory) on which Resolve strongly relies. [Do "Apple > about my mac" menu and check the Graphics line...].
In the end, well yes, we can say upscale features are aiming to upscale struff, but you know, upscaling UHD to x4 is not the more basic and frequent operation Resolve users are going to try... morever on a MBP
Better try more classic usage before...
