Hey John. This is pretty common tasks and there's a lot of tutorial in YouTube on how to do this. More or less, you'll need to select the object you want to change the color to like using a qualifier and/or use power windows to isolate the area, track the object, and use the color wheels or curves to change the color. Here is one of the many YT videos that shows you how to do this. This one is in Resolve 16 but 17 should be just the same.
