Hi. I post this in case some future soul lands here looking for a similar problem. You are not alone, my friend.
I finally was able to find the solution and fix this problem. It was caused by one sound plugin I had in one of the buses of one of the timelines. I could play the whole timeline, and open it, and everything worked fine, but when I tried to include that timeline inside another timeline, sometimes I was able to open it, but after that the program started to crash every time I tried to switch to another timeline. It was very strange because the playback was never broken, and even that timeline worked just fine. The problem only appeared when that timeline was included inside another timeline.
Very strange behaviour. I spent almost 2 weeks making tests, and nothing could fix this until I found what was the problem. I uninstalled Davinci Resolve and deleted all the files I had in my computer as support suggested me, but that didn't fix the problem. The only thing that worked was to remove the VST plugin, and then everything worked like a charm.
I think the dev team definitely should check this case to find out why Davinci was not able to handle this error or throw some useful information in the logs (I checked them all and nothing regarding that VST plugin was there).
